Organized by NICE (Never-ending International workCamps Exchange) NVDA (Network for Voluntary Development in Asia) and CCIVS (Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service
Background:
IVS creates a unique and valuable impact to prevent climate change. Volunteers actively participate in collective work to support sustainable lifestyles and work on climate issues.
IVS organisations work on a local and global level implementing actions across the globe and networking with different people and organizations, raising awareness among local populations and young people.
This special project is a pilot project within International Voluntary Service associations, and its aims are:
- reducing carbon emission in IVS workcamps;
- raising awareness of youth and local communities about the importance of a sustainable lifestyle;
- empowering IVS associations in adopting sustainable policies and practices.
There are three stages to the project:
1) Kick Off Conference
2016 Jan. 29th to Feb. 3rd
Kampot, Cambodia
2) Special Volunteers and Projects
A team of 10 special volunteers will participate in different projects in Cambodia, Italy, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Vietnam.
3) Final Conference
2016 Nov. 20th to 24th
