Seminar: Besides short and long-term volunteering, IVS organisations offer the possibility to join seminars at the national and international levels. Unlike training courses, participants focus on a specific topic and have the opportunity to share perspectives and best practices related, among others, to youth work, volunteering, human rights, environmental issues.
Short Term Volunteering: In IVS, Short Term Volunteering refer mainly to “workcamps”, voluntary actions lasting generally from 1 to 3 weeks hosting a small group of volunteers who support a local, not-for-profit project on behalf of the community. Organisations can offer also “minicamps” or “weekend workcamps”, lasting 2 or 3 days.
