Workcamps: Most of IVS projects are done in the form of workcamps, where the volunteers live and work together to support a local project. Workcamps are designed by the IVS organisations, usually in cooperation with partners, who shared the same values and host the group of volunteers. Through workcamps, the IVS movement mobilises yearly thousands of volunteers worldwide.

Working Groups: IVS activists can participate to the movement in several ways, like taking part in thematic Working Groups, at national or international level. These groups focus on IVS-related topics, such as the promotion of peace and human rights, climate justice, social inclusion or gender issues. The WGs provide opportunity to learn, meet like-mined activists and develop common initiatives and campaigns.
