STEP is an ambitious 2-year project coordinated by CCIVS and focused on capacity training, need assessment and impact measurement. What makes this project special is the fact that it will involve 4 big networks (SCI, Alliance, NVDA, ICYE) and that its activities will have a global dimension: the 4 trainers Oriol, Francesco, Matina and Sam will visit 4 continents to deliver training in several countries around the globe.
Such a challenging initiative requires proper preparation, and this is the reason why the trainers and members of the networks involved met the CCIVS office (represented by Vicky and Mauro) to plan the different STEPs. The meeting, hosted by SJ from at the end of March 2017, was very fruitful: participants discussed about logistic issues and defined the tools to be used in the training and in the field visits.
The first STEP will be in Africa in May and June 2017, and will include a training hosted by VOLU Ghana and visits in DRC (ADCDD), Uganda (UPA), Nigeria (VWAN) and Togo (ASTOVOT).
