Raising Peace is a networking initiative that aims to contribute to the construction of peace, the guarantee of human rights all over the world, and to highlight the role that International Voluntary Service (IVS) plays in this field. The campaign achieves this through advocating for human rights, non-formal education training and capacity building, empowerment of activists and organisations and through communication and visibility campaigns.

“#IVS4Peace, Inclusive Voluntary Service 4 Peace” is a three-year project (2018-2020) which seeks to support the living together of people from different backgrounds by making IVS projects more socially inclusive. The project financed by the KA3 Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission will engage and follow the experiences of 120 young migrants, refugees, other minority groups and young people at risk of exclusion, in short term international voluntary service projects in Europe over two years. The intended results of the project include policy recommendations and free online tools, which can be used by civil society.

STEP to the Future follows the 2017-2018 project STEP to Change, which brought organisational development training and impact measurement to 20 organisations in 4 regions, allowing the building of a global and regional diagnosis on the State of the Art of the International Voluntary Service movement. The experience was very successful and through STEP to the Future, CCIVS aims at expanding and consolidating the empowerment process in the 4 regions.

IVS for Climate Justice is a worldwide campaign taking place in over 100 countries, bringing together the activities of five International Voluntary Service networks. It engages volunteers with local communities to work on grassroots projects that combine manual work and awareness raising actions. These address issues such as climate change, carbon offset, environmental sustainability, protection of ecosystems, water and soil management and conservation.

Impact research seeks to determine and explain the impact of IVS on volunteers & host communities. The results are used to promote IVS to our stakeholders providing greater visibility for our activities. As feedback they enable us to improve our projects.
